We’re now growing quickly, and hiring our Founding Frontend Engineering Lead to architect, build, and scale the entire user experience of Neuroscale.

The Role

As our Founding Frontend Engineering Lead, you will own everything users touch. You’ll work alongside the founders and three other founding engineers, operating as the hands-on technical leader with extensive expertise in all things frontend, architecture, design systems, developer experience, performance, and long-term UI/UX strategy.

You will:

  • Build the core frontend architecture from the ground up

  • Lead the design and development of our UI/UX

  • Establish best practices and engineering standards

  • Ship fast and iterate based on real customer workflows

  • Grow into a Head of Frontend or Director of Engineering as the team scales

This is a rare opportunity to define the frontend direction of a category-defining AI platform from day zero.

What You’ll Lead & Build:

  • Next.js (React), Apollo GraphQL, TypeScript, Custom in-house UI Kit & Design System, Modern state management, SSR/ISR, caching, and performance patterns

  • Own all frontend architecture decisions, structure, patterns, standards.

  • Build highly performant, polished UI for recruiting workflows, agent orchestration, dashboards, and intelligent insights.

  • Scale our design system and component library into a world-class experience.

  • Partner with backend engineering to shape our GraphQL API contracts and client-server boundaries.

  • Ship user-facing features end-to-end: architecture → UX → implementation → launch → iteration.

  • Translate ambiguous ideas into crisp, usable interfaces.

  • Make foundational decisions that the entire future frontend team will build on.

  • Drive frontend priorities and influence broader product strategy.

  • Bring speed, clarity, and taste to everything you build.

You will design the UX that connects users to our AI capabilities, including:

  • Agent orchestration & workflow builders

  • Real-time candidate intelligence surfaces

  • Sourcing, outreach, and screening flows

  • LLM-driven recommendations, insights, and reasoning UIs

  • High-performance data visualizations & search interfaces

  • You’ll ensure these experiences feel: intuitive, fast, reliable, elegant, deeply useful in real recruiting workflows

As a founding engineering leader, you will:

  • Mentor and guide the other founding engineers on frontend patterns and best practices.

  • Lead technical design reviews, architecture sessions, and code standards.

  • Play a central role in hiring early frontend engineers.

  • Help establish a culture of craftsmanship, velocity, ownership, and deep customer empathy.

  • Evolve naturally into Head of Frontend as we scale the engineering team.


Who You Are:

  • You’ve built and shipped complex production-grade frontends using Next.js & React.

  • Deep expertise in: Component architecture, TypeScript, Apollo GraphQL, Design systems, & Performance optimization

  • Strong product and design intuition — you care deeply about UX quality.

  • Experience building or maintaining high-polish UIs or internal UI kits.

  • Comfortable working closely with backend engineers to shape the API layer.

  • You thrive in fast-paced startup environments and can move from idea → shipped quickly.‎

  • You’re a builder with a strong engineering backbone and taste for great UI.

  • You learn exceptionally fast and make things happen.

  • You communicate clearly and thrive in in-person, high-trust collaboration.

  • You care about solving real customer problems, not just writing beautiful UI.

  • You want massive ownership and want to be foundational to a company’s success.

  • You aspire to grow into a long-term engineering leadership role.

Bonus if you have experience with:

  • Workflow builders, dashboards, or enterprise-grade UIs

  • Motion design, animations, micro-interactions

  • AI/LLM-powered product interfaces

  • User research or product design background


Nice-to-haves:

  • You were, or want to be, a founder.

  • Experience with real-time systems, data visualizations, or search-driven UIs.

  • Familiarity with recruiting tools, ATS systems, or HRTech.

  • Up to 200K base salary, depending on experience
